With a heavy heart it is informed that our beloved poojyaniya Shri Vikramanand ji Bahuguna left for his heavenly abode on December 07, 2009. The "Tehraveen" rites are scheduled to be held at his residence between 1200-1500 hours on December 20, 2009. Hope all would make it to the occasion to be with the family. Shri Vikrmanand ji Bahuguna stood tall in the crowd and helped, guided and lended his support to everyone who came in contact with him. Two of his books have already been published and third one was in the pipeline when he suddenly left this materialistic world. His greatness can be seen in the fact that he had donated his eyes when he was alive. His eyes are watching us through someone else's body which is a great solace to all of us.

What a wonderful website - it's so much fun to learn about my heritage. My only request is that you create an English version of the Vanshavali page, and links on select names that show annecdotes/biographies on those individuals.

Nice efforts, long back I also tried to make a "Vansh-viraksh" of Godiyal vansha. Any way, my suggestion is try to insert/add the approximate time period of that particular generation "PIDI" with all the diagrams for exemple: (around 1920 AD to 1970 AD) regards, Godiyal

Kindly put a page as news item in the website pertaining to Odali Gaon or Odalians so that everyone will be aware about important various activities and any other news. To start with it can be initiated on weekly basis as a week-news item.

We must do some combined activities for the upliftment of our Odali village. Annual village pooja or get together must be arranged on collection basis. If any brohter of our village doing any type of activities like marriage of children/griah parvesh/pooja etc. then all the village people in Delhi must be informed either thru mail or thru phone.

Dear Kanti, My heartiest congratulations and best wishes on the eve of vishal bhandara. I have a suggestion on vanashvali though. I'm not too pleased the way the vanshavali ends on the branch that has a female node. I uderstand the long standing primacy of males in our vanshavali system; but I do not want Odali to loose out on a big chunk of its female wellwishers and potential contributors. For example, I'd have longed to experience, through the Odali website, how my Phuphu's, Ansi Baluni's, life panned out. Rather than having the Ansi branch terminated, I'd have loved to see the caption 'data awaited' on that node...of course the website would have to be configured for Ansi Phuphu like clans to easily input the data if they so wish.

Let me join the chorus of other Odaliwallas in singing your praises for the magnificent job you have done in creating the Odali website. I envy your energy and drive. As you are aware, my daughters, and now my grand child Leena, have been able to connect with a small piece of their heritage through the website for which I am in your deep gratitude.
