Considering Setting Up a Digital Classroom Next Academic Session 2024-2025

We are considering setting up a digital classroom in our school for the next academic session 2024-2025, for which a very large hall of 12 feet X 36 feet has already been prepared. In the upcoming session, we are attempting to arrange for an LCD projector to conduct digital online classes, so that many retired and socially inclined individuals can teach students of the school and the surrounding areas for free for an hour each, at their own discretion, to help those children who face a lot of transportation issues or cannot find good tutors. They will teach their respective subjects. For this, furniture arrangements are being provided by the Honorable Minister of Education, Uttarakhand, Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat, who has a focus on rural areas in addition to education and whose announcement was made during his visit to the school on December 13, 2023. This will enable all students of the school family as well as all students from the surrounding areas to avail themselves of free coaching in their subjects.

Camp of Astrology and Rituals in Summer 2024

Efforts are also being made by the school management to organise a camp of astrology and rituals for the interested people in the school during summer vacation 2024.

श्री हरि अगस्त्येश्वर संस्कृत विद्यालय, ओडली

भारत में प्राचीन काल से ही शिक्षा को अत्यंत महत्वपूर्ण स्थान प्रदान किया गया है। शिक्षा का मूल उद्देश्य है-“बालक का शरीर, मन और बुद्धि का उचित विकास, ज्ञान-विज्ञान के प्रकाश में सृष्टि को समझकर उसमें अपनी उचित भूमिका निभाने का आत्मविश्वास, अपनी आजीविका के लिए परोपजीवी बनने के बजाय स्वयं अपने पैरों पर खड़े होने का साहस”। आज जहां हमने संस्कृत भाषा को केवल एक विषय बना दिया है, वहीं विश्व में संस्कृत भाषा की लोकप्रियता का ग्राफ लगातार बढ़ रहा है। आई.ए.एन.एस के अनुसार यूरोप, अमेरिका, ऑस्ट्रेलिया, मिडल ईस्ट, जापान, थाईलैंड और अनेक देशों में ऐसे बहुत सारे संस्थान हैं जिनमें संस्कृत की पढ़ाई होती है तथा इनके सबसे अधिक संस्थान उत्तरी अमेरिका में हैं। उत्तराखण्ड के इतिहास,उसकी परम्पराओं में शुरू से ही संस्कृत का बहुत महत्व रहा है। बल्कि यह कहना अतिश्योक्ति नहीं होगी कि संस्कृत इस देश कि आत्मा है।“अंधकार सिर्फ दीपक जलाने से दूर नहीं होता। प्रकाश फैलाने के और भी कई तरीके हैं, मिट्टी का दीया जलाने के अलावा हमें ऐसे दीये जलाने चाहिए जो जीवन का मार्ग निष्कंटक बनाते हों, उसमें सबसे बड़ा दीप है- शिक्षा व ज्ञान का दीपक”।

इसी भावना से प्रेरित होकर “ओडलीगाँव महादेव मन्दिर बहूउद्देशीय समिति, दिल्ली(ओउम्’ बहूउद्देशीय समिति)” द्वारा अपने प्रथम प्रयास में अपनी सांस्कृतिक धरोहरों को बचाने व संस्कृत भाषा के प्रचार/प्रसार को बढ़ावा देने के लिए सन् 2004 में वेदों में प्रतिपादित गुरूकुल शिक्षा पद्धति पर आधारित “श्री हरि अगस्त्येश्वर संस्कृत विद्यालय, ओडली”की स्थापना उत्तराखण्ड के पौड़ी जिले के अंतर्गत पावौ ब्लाक के ग्राम ओडली के महादेव मन्दिर में की गई। क्योंकि हिमालय क्षेत्र गुरूकुल शिक्षा व तपस्या के अनुकूल शांत प्रदेश होने के कारण भारतीय ऋषि–मुनियों से सेवित प्रदेश रहा है। वैसे भी उत्तराखण्ड में पौराणिक धरोहरों का अखिल भंडार है। भारतीय साहित्य में भी पंच बद्री, पंच केदारों व पंच प्रयागों वाली इस भूमि को देवभूमि व तपोभूमि नाम से आदर पूर्वक स्मरण किया जाता रहा है।
