Help Build Free Gurukul Hostel in Odali, Uttarakhand
About the Initiative
Sanskrit Vidyalaya, Odali (established in 2007) is a rural education initiative located in Uttarakhand. The school follows a unique Gurukul system where students receive not just academic knowledge, but also cultural values, discipline, and life skills.
For the past several years, the institution has been committed to providing completely free education, including hostel, books, and uniforms, to children coming from financially weak backgrounds.
The Problem We Are Facing
Currently, the school infrastructure is very limited. We have only 14 rooms and one hall, which can accommodate around 40 to 50 students.
However, due to lack of space, we are unable to admit more students even though there is strong demand from nearby rural areas. Many deserving children are still waiting for an opportunity to study.
Support us, so that we can provide facilities to our Sanskrit Vidyalaya Students which help them to grow.
Our Solution – Expansion Project
To solve this problem, we are planning to expand our infrastructure and build new hostel facilities along with a modern dining hall.
This expansion will allow us to accommodate approximately 100 additional students and continue our mission of providing free education at a larger scale.
Fund Requirement
The total estimated cost for this project is ₹90,00,000, and the construction is expected to be completed within 6 months.
Since the school is located in a hilly region of Uttarakhand, the construction cost is significantly higher due to transportation, labour, and material challenges. This makes the project cost nearly double compared to plains.
